My year has been made
I know it’s only March, but I feel as if nothing could possibly top what just happened.
My friend, Claire, who has been the recipient of multiple prints of my artwork, just sent me the dissertation she’s done on my art, focusing on my piece, Insomnia. It was seriously one of the most flattering things I’ve ever read. Spending four years in art school, constantly writing papers on different art styles and artists, I never in a million years thought I’d ever be the subject of one of these papers. She is amazing, and I’m so thankful to have come into contact with her.
Time to keep this year going right. Got a lot of exciting things coming up. Just gonna list a few because I’m seriously so stoked right now:
- Continuing to work with Gxldslvgs and the rest of the Gravewave crew
- Getting to work with my boys overseas in the incredible band Fallacies
- Finally getting this children’s book commission finished up
- And just keep pushing forward and making myself known, in any way I can.
I can’t thank all of you enough. To anyone who’s purchased a print of mine, reblogged anything I’ve posted, or just saying they enjoy my work, it’s all what has gotten me here today. And I’m gonna keep doing it. Sometimes, I know I can get really down, and it shows, but I’m going to stay positive and committed, and everything will be as it should be. You all mean the world to me. Thank you.

So, these are three of the eight drawings I did for this play at my old high school. The director is making masks of the different philosophers/great thinkers in history.
These ones are Galileo, Thomas Aquinas, and Jean Paul Sartre.
A little different than what I usually do, but I’m still very happy with them.
